WHAT? JCI June Run

WHEN? : Sunday June 2nd. 9am

WHERE? : Dublin

So we ran an official Jaguar Club Ireland event on June 2nd in the Dublin area .

We started out at the Royal Irish Yacht Club for assembly. And what a line-up of cars, all immaculately turned out.

We proceeded to vico road and then to Powerscourt hotel for photo shoots.

Along the way; you could see people stopping to take photos and admire the sounds. We proceeded over the mountain to the Hell Fire Club and finally to our display destination; Firhouse Community Centre, where we were met by the Lithuanian organisers.

We were dragged up to take part in traditional dances, sampled Lithuanian food and hospitality and got to show the cars off to young and old alike in the sunshine. A great jag event would be a jag meet with the Lithuaian dance troupe to learn a few folk dances (all a bit of fun).

We met the Lithuanian Ambassador to Ireland and had a long interesting conversation with him. Presentations were given on behalf of Jaguar Club Ireland and we have been given an invitation to go to the embassy to photograph the cars there.

Summarising, we renewed old friendships (in my case my first run since my illness); made new friendships and have new friends in the Lithuanian community..
